**Normies** are individuals who are more aligned with cultural hegemony than the current subject of discussion. The label may be applied to entirely unrelated people depending on the context. For example, someone who is not a [[wp>Furry_fandom|furry]] would be considered a normie in a conversation about furries, while a [[wp>Conventional_sex|vanilla]] furry would be considered a normie in a conversation about foot fetishism.
